• Voting for School Board – The Election for School Board members is Nov 4^th. Six candidates are running for three open seats.  Candidates forum live on Oct 13^th, 7 pm – 9 pm on Comcast Channel 95 / Verizon channel 42. Re-broadcasts on Oct 17, 19, 24, 26, 31 from 7 – 9 pm

• Coffee and Conversation – Open discussions with Board of Education on Oct 11 at River Hill High Cafeteria 9:30 am – 11 am. Open to everyone.

• PTA Presidents meet BOE – PTA Presidents will meet with Board of Education members on Oct 16 at 7:30 pm to discuss issues and concerns in an informal setting.

• Major Actions – The PTA Council is soliciting comments from all local PTAs regarding the School Calendar, particularly discussion on a Spring Break recommendation to change the break from six days to four days (including the weekend). Additionally, PTA Council would like to hear what local PTAs want from the Council. See the worksheet.

• Talent Bank – PTA Council is also looking to establish a talent bank in order to use the talents of the entire PTA community. Please take time to download and complete the Talent Bank form.

• Coat Drive -  The coat drive is county wide and ends on November 10. If arrangements are made through Cradlerock PTA, we can participate by donating clean, ready to wear coats. Donations will be taken to the Council meeting by your representative.

• Fall Convention – The Maryland PTA is holding its fall convention on November 14 and 15. More details can be found on MDPTA.org.

• What Counts – The “What Counts” Meeting will be held November 11 at 7:00 PM at Homewood School. See PTAC website for details.

• Audit Reports / Insurance – Audit Reports and Budgets are due to PTA Council immediately.
