International Night Scheduled for 2/22

Our diverse community deserves a celebration!

To join the party, we’d love for you to share the traditions and culture your family practices. In fact, we’re hoping to cover a map of the world with the Cradlerock family!

Here is how you can help us get started:

  • volunteer cook a traditional dish to share
  • wear traditional clothing on 2/22
  • create an educational display
  • offer to perform a dance, tell a story, or something else

If none of those work for you, we could use help planning, organizing, and greeting the night of the party.

Please email me president@cradlerockpta.com if you’d like to participate in some way.

Teacher Appreciation!

One of the many ways we can support the teachers and staff at CRES is with food! It’s a small effort but our meals help them power through lesson plans and parent teacher conferences!

We have two opportunities for you to join in the fun in February:

Continental Breakfast on 2/7 - We’d like to provide the teachers with a continental breakfast on 2/7 to show our appreciation. We have parents willing to pick up and serve, but they’d appreciate a few donations to help offset the costs. If you’re interested, please send $2-3 in an envelope addressed to Brigitta Warren. Should you have any questions e-mail her at marybwarren@verizon.net .

Luncheon 2/15 – This time, we’re celebrating with a Mardi -Gras theme! Get in on the fun by offering to share a casserole, dessert, drinks or maybe some red beans and rice!  Brigitta is organizing this effort as well, please email her at marybwarren@verizon.net with what you’d like to bring!

It’s Time for the Fall Fiesta!

We’ll be honoring teacher’s service to our students with Tex Mex themed luncheon on November 21 ! Big thanks to Brigitta Warren for volunteering to coordinate!

If you’d like to donate something:

Suggestions include, enchiladas, nachos, taco meat, taco shells, tortillas, fixins, tortilla chips, salsa, queso, dessert, salad, paper goods, nada margaritas, silverware, drinks, rise, or anything else you’d like! Email the dish of your choosing (or item) to marybwarren@verizon.net . Please have your donations at the school by 11:30, preferably in the teacher’s lounge.

If you’d like to help:
Please let Brigitta know if you can be there at 1 1:30 for set up, to serve at 12 or clean up by 1, by email at marybwarren@verizon.net .

The luncheon is only 20 days away! So email Brigitta today!

Teacher’s Luncheon for November Conferences!

It is a Cradlerock tradition to provide lunch for teachers one day during parent teacher conferences each quarter. This November, Mr. McCoy is asking if the PTA would like to provide lunch for approximately 85 staff members on either November 21 or 22.

It’s a great way to thank teachers for the work they do throughout the quarter!

We’re looking for 1-3 people to pick the day, plan the menu (taco bar? sandwiches? Italian?), and organize volunteers. In the past, we’ve fed twice as many, so this should be a piece of cake!

Once those details are set, we’ll reach out to the membership, who are always incredibly willing and able to donate a bottle of soda, dessert or main dish item as needed.

Let us know if you’re interested in helping with organizing November’s luncheon by sending an email to cradlerockpta@gmail.com !
